West Palm Beach Native Scottie Barnes Receives Immense Support from his City

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – On Thursdays NBA Draft, Scottie Barnes was selected 4th Overall by the Toronto Raptors.

The West Palm Beach Native played high school basketball at Cardinal Newman for his freshman year before playing college basketball at Florida State University.

The 20-year-old NBA Rookie is already a high-ranked NBA player with an impressive background.
Barnes averaged 10.3 points, 4.1 assists, 4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals a game as a freshman in college. Shortly after that, he earned the titles of ACC Sixth Man of the Year, ACC Freshman of the Year, and Third Team-All ACC honors.

Scottie Barnes’s success comes as no surprise to those that know him and this South Florida athlete is destined for greatness and has made his city incredibly proud.
